We are looking to expand our FL team at our Fort Myers and Sarasota offices. We’re seeking a dynamic, highly motivated accountant who is eager to make a significant impact and help drive the firm’s growth. We are looking for someone with a strong background in both audit and tax, with a focus on Real Estate and HOA clients. Key Responsibilities

As an Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Conduct audits of condominiums, HOA’s, and other related entities
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including 1120-H, 1120-C, 1065, and 1120-S
• Perform detailed financial analysis and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Assist clients in understanding audit findings and tax implications
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient and accurate completion of audit and tax work
• Maintain organized documentation and support for all work performed
• Stay current on industry trends, accounting updates, and HOA-specific regulations

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
• 3-7 years of experience in public accounting with both audit and tax responsibilities
• Prior experience working with HOAs strongly preferred
• Proficiency in preparing Forms 1120-H, 1120-C, 1065 and 1120-S
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and relevant tax codes
• CIRA experience is strongly preferred
• CPA is preferred but not required
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
• Strong attention to detail and client service orientation
• Working knowledge of CCH Engagement, UltraTax and Excel strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager at Miller & Company, you’ll be a key contributor to our success. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and oversee the tax department’s workflow, ensuring effective and efficient use of software and processes.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, balancing workloads while offering growth opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high-value service and a deep understanding of their tax needs.

• Lead tax planning initiatives and deliver top-tier customer service.

• Help shape the overall vision and growth of the firm.

• Communicate clear, actionable directions to the team and ensure alignment with the firm’s core values and goals.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in public accounting (CPA firm).

• Minimum of 3 tears of leadership experience

• Licensed CPA with deep expertise in tax

• In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, taxation, auditing, and budgeting processes.

• Excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency with MS Office and QuickBooks; familiarity with UltraTax and other Thomson Reuters software is required
