Senior Tax Accountant

SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preparing corporate and partnership tax returns, as well as personal returns for high-net-worth individuals, including foreign income reporting.
• Preparing fiduciary tax returns for trusts and estates.
• Preparing gift tax returns.
• Preparing returns for non-profit organizations.
• Preparing tax projections.
• Filing sales and commercial rent tax returns.
• Filing BOIs and FBARs.
• Reviewing QuickBooks for bookkeeping errors and making correcting entries to ensure accurate record keeping.
• Making PTET election, calculating, and paying estimated tax payments.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements consistent with GAAP guidelines.
• Performing statistical and financial analysis to assess financial feasibility and identify financial risks.
• Researching federal, state, and local applicable rules and regulations and their effects on tax returns.
• Staying current with all tax changes and updates, as well as industry trends.
• Participating in educational opportunities through professional networks and subscriptions to professional publications.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance or, alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of employment experience in the occupation or as Accountant, Financial or Accounting Analyst, or closely related fields.

SALARY RANGE: $100K/year

HOURS: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
